always have an urge to taste it ones again.As I am living in Dera Ismail Khan,which is most popular in pakistan for sohan halwa around the globe so I considered it very important to write this recipe for those people sitting abroad and have desire to eat it.First of all I want to share that ingredients are always available in entire world. You should take whole wheat grains and then soaked them overnight.Then dry them and grind to make samak. Now take white flour and mixed the samack powder of whole grain in it.then add milk on the mixture and cook in light flame.It should not be overcooked otherwise the mixture become lumpy. Add immediately half of a teaspoon filled with lemon salt and curdle the milk.Lemon salt will separate milk and water.Do not mix more of the mixture so that Dana should remain solid.Cook on medium flame.When the colour change ,then add sugar one cup and 8 to 10 grounded green cardamom. Add ghee or butter half cup and cook until oil separated from mixture.Now the halwa is ready It should be cool for some time for good texture. You should sprinkled grounded almonds,walnuts and coconuts before serving. INGREDIENTS 1.Milk...one liter 2.samak/whole wheat grains....... 2 spoons 3.White flour.......... 6 spoons 4.Ghee or butter.... one cup 5.Lemon salt....... half spoon 6.Grounded green cardamom..........10 7.Almonds,walnuts,coconut ....small quantity just for sprinkling
